Inventory Management Services:

Manned Crib Management

Mid-States Bolt & Screw maintains its own warehouse physically inside your facility. We bring in a team of experts to discuss the setting up of the In-House Warehouse where it suits you and your organization best. This includes physical logistics as well as mutually agreed contract items, package quantities, annual usage, and minimum\maximum inventory levels.

A Mid-States stockroom manager then controls the contract inventory and transfers parts to the production line. Parts are released to the line in either of two ways:

  • Production line people come to the stock room, OR
  • The stockroom manager surveys the production line inventory levels, determines the necessary replenishment and then refills the production line from the inventory in the Mid-States stockroom.

All inventory is consigned and you are only billed when your staff use the product.

Two-Bin Kanban Stocking

Utilizing a two-bin system (a working bin and an inventory bin), we deliver the right amount of product exactly when it is needed. An empty working bin triggers replenishment.

Mid-States assists you in determining minimum and maximum levels for every part and frequency of delivery. The min/max system keeps inventories at an optimum level and allows your freed up capital to work for you where it counts.

Vending Machine Management

Need materials that can be a “self-serve” for employed 24/7? Then self-service vending is an option! Vending takes every transaction, controls the output and reports it for a “visual” of your in-house usage. Mid-States Bolt & Screw monitors the machines online and makes sure they are filled with the right products for you and your employees at all times.

  • This is a completely paperless, hands-free process.

Min/Max Inventory Stocking

Need a constant level of inventory at your fingertips? We can make that happen! Once your selected items and level of inventory are determined, we make sure you have what you need when you need it.

Consignment Inventory

Consignment inventory is a unique way to have the inventory available for your immediate needs without the invested cost in capital. Improvements in service and costs are obvious alongside better focus and control time for your products.

Within our dedicated kitting and packaging facility Mid-States Bolt & Screw can prepackage any combination of components and deliver them ready for immediate use on your production line. We will even deliver or ship your custom packages directly to your customers.

Furthermore, Mid-States Bolt & Screw offers custom labeling and instruction sheets as well as sub-assembly of products.

Mid-States Bolt & Screw’s in-house inspection of all products ensure that we distribute only products that meets or exceeds our customers’ quality expectations. PAPP’s and other required quality documents are always available upon request. Our lot tracking system enables tracing product to the mill certification.

To ensure our commitment to continuously improve quality, Mid-States Bolt & Screw achieved ISO 9002 certification in April 2001. We are currently ISO 9001: 2008 certified.

For a period of time we track the movement of your inventory and product and will work with your personnel to identify the area of cost that can be reduced or eliminated.
